About the same time baby wildlife in the valley are taking their first steps each spring, Teton County and the Town of Jackson are offering our annual FREE yard waste drop-off for residents during Spring Clean-Up Week.
This is a great time to dispose of grass clippings, leaves, garden trimmings, and other compostable yard waste at no cost, for residential yard waste under 500 pounds per household.
Materials collected are composted locally, helping divert organics from the landfill and turning them into nutrient-rich products.
Use of the brown bags is not mandatory to participate in the Fall Clean Up Event.
During this week the Transfer Station will accept your first 500 pounds of residential yard waste for free. After 500 pounds you will be charged the typical rate. Discounts do NOT apply to businesses. (No dog waste or trash, please!)
Join the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole, and numerous volunteers and businesses in a morning of coffee, snacks, litter pick up throughout town, as well as waterways. Meet at Phil Baux Park at 8 a.m. to receive assignments for cleaning, get trash bags, gloves and a bite to eat. Volunteers can also reach out to jhcleanup@gmail.com to receive an assignment to clean during the week of May 4-10th.
