This course is currently full. If you would like to join the waitlist, please fill out the application and email to aday@tetoncountywy.gov. Please apply only if you can attend all four days of class.

DATES: October 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd, 9 AM - 5 PM each day

CERT Basic Training involves a mix of classroom lecture, discussion, and hands-on activities. Upon successful completion of the four-day course, participants will have the opportunity to join the Teton County Community Emergency Response Team.

About CERT

CERT Teton County logoLocal CERT programs train and organize teams of volunteers to assist their families, neighbors, co-workers, and other community members during emergencies when professional responders may not be immediately available to provide assistance.

Community members who have taken the time to go through a 32-hour CERT Basic Training course are eligible to join the Teton County Community Emergency Response Team. The Teton County CERT program provides continuing education, skills practice, team building activities, and opportunities for members to deploy to planned events and real-world emergencies in the county.

Participate in CERT

To become a member of the Teton County Community Emergency Response Team, you must complete CERT Basic Training. The training teaches disaster concepts and hands-on response skills. Topics  covered include:

  • Basic first aid
  • Disaster psychology
  • Light urban search and rescue
  • Small fire suppression
  • And more!
