Large Appliances
Includes: Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, Refrigerators, Freezers, Water Coolers, Ovens, Stoves, Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Dryers
Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, Refrigerators, Freezers, Water Coolers:
- Donation or reuse is the preferred option for items in good condition.
- Otherwise, bring to the Trash Transfer Station or contact your waste hauler.
- Freon removal fee per item applies.
- Drop-off location: Teton County Trash Transfer Station
Ovens, Stoves, Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Dryers:
- Donation or reuse is the preferred option for items in good condition.
- Otherwise, bring to the Trash Transfer Station or contact your waste hauler.
- Metal appliances must be recycled in the scrap metal pile at the Trash Transfer Station.

Small Appliances
Includes: Microwaves, Blenders, Coffee Makers, Toasters, Air Purifiers, Vaporizers, Hair Dryers, Electric Fans, Heaters, Sewing Machines, Steam Cleaning Machines, Steam Irons, Vacuum Cleaners, Floor Polishers, Kitchen Appliances
Recycling Option: If at least 50% metal, these small appliances may be dropped in the scrap metal bin at the Recycling Center office or at the Trash Transfer Station.
Microwaves, Blenders, Coffee Makers, Toasters, Kitchen Appliances:
- Donation or reuse is the preferred option for items in good condition.
- If at least 50% metal, these can be placed in the scrap metal bin at the Recycling Center office or at the Trash Transfer Station.
- Before recycling, remove any glass or plastic components:
- Microwave glass plates should be removed and thrown away in regular trash.
- Glass or plastic parts from metal mixers or blenders should also be removed and discarded.
- Drop-off location: Recycling Center office or Trash Transfer Station
Air Purifiers, Vaporizers, Hair Dryers, Electric Fans, Heaters, Sewing Machines, Steam Cleaning Machines, Steam Irons, Vacuum Cleaners, Floor Polishers:
- These items are generally trash and should be placed in regular garbage disposal. Please call 733-7678 if you have questions.
