Snake River Map App

The Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department has released a map of the Snake River corridor through Jackson, Wyo., highlighting the location of public lands and amenities along the river. The map is intended to be used on a smartphone, using the GPS on your phone to provide your location along the river.

STEP ONE, DOWNLOAD THE APP:

STEP TWO, SET UP THE APP:

STEP THREE, DOWNLOAD THE SNAKE RIVER MAP THAT WORKS WITHIN THE APP:
With PDF Maps open on your device, download the River Map HERE
• Open in PDF Maps. The device should switch to PDF Maps and download automatically. Beware that this map is a large file. Be sure to have your PDF Maps settings to only allow wireless downloads (not cellular data). “Snake River Public Lands Access Map” will appear in Maps List. The app will indicate progress downloading (it could take up to 20 minutes to download). Once completely downloaded, the app indicates if you are currently located on the map or how far away it is in a general direction.
• Tap “Snake River Public Lands Access Map” in Maps List to open the map. This map is now stored within the PDF Maps app and should not need to be downloaded again.

Note:
The aerial photography used in this map was taken in 2012. The main channel of the Snake River meanders and should not be expected to be as it appears in the aerial photographs.
